2. Develop integrated program delivery models that ultimately support students in regular classroom studies.
3. Develop fiscal resources and programs to help students and staff meet educational goals and training.
4. Provide supplemental resources to buildings to meet the needs of their students.
5. Provide resources to the district administration to better serve the needs of their individual schools.
6. To provide services that result in a safe and equitable learning environment.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
The Student Support Services department is designed to meet the supplemental needs of students ages birth through 21 years striving for success. The ways in which the staff meets those needs varies. Whether a student with a disability condition is receiving intense 1:1 therapy, group immersion for remediation or 30 junior high or high school students who are enjoying a 3-day retreat, the goal of the program remains the same...STUDENT SUCCESS.
The department is funded from different State and Federal sources, eg.: Special Education, Learning Assistance Program (LAP), Title I remediation dollars, and drug/alcohol prevention. These funding sources are blended wherever appropriate to impact the largest number of students.

The number of children who benefit from Support Programs is a growing number. The department serves approximately 400 students with remedial needs and up to 300 students are eligible for services as disabled, of which there are about 30 children between the ages of three and five years old. In addition, the department serves a large number of students through Experienced Based Education, retreats, seminars and group and individual counseling sessions. In all cases we try to promote self-confidence and self-esteem . . . characteristics which help students strive to reach their fullest academic potential.

Though there are a number of activities that support district staff, the primary focus remains to be the student. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call our office at 684-7875.
