Colville Junior High School is excited to introduce Rise Up Time, a structured support block that occurs Tuesdays and Thursdays for 30 minutes between 5th and 6th period. Students will be assigned to one of the three sessions described below. This intentional time is designed to help students grow academically while building lifelong habits for success.
🔹 Rise Up Time
Targeted Academic Support
This focused intervention time provides intentional, targeted support on essential standards and key concepts. It is not free time or study hall. Students work closely with teachers to close learning gaps and move toward mastery.
🧠 Guiding Habit: Habit 2 – Begin With the End in Mind
Students identify what needs improvement and take purposeful steps toward academic goals.
🔹 Study Hall
Organization, Focus, and Productivity
Study Hall offers a quiet, structured environment for completing assignments, studying, reviewing materials, and staying organized. This time helps students reduce stress and build strong academic habits.
📌 Guiding Habit: Habit 3 – Put First Things First
Students learn to prioritize tasks, manage time, and focus on what matters most.
🔹 Extended Learning Time (ELT)
Stay Caught Up or Get Ahead
ELT is a focused work session for current assignments, projects, and skill-building. It is not free time and not study hall. Students use this time intentionally to stay on track or move ahead.
🎯 Guiding Habit: Habit 2 – Begin With the End in Mind
Students understand learning targets and take ownership of their progress.
