As part of our district wide school safety protocols, we are conducting a safety drill on 6/20/2025 at our high school. There will be several agencies responding to this drill. Please do not be alarmed. This event has been planned very thoroughly. We ask that you please do not approach the high school during the exercise.
Evergreen Way will be closed to thru traffic at Hwy 20 for the duration of the drill.
There will be “blank” weapons discharged inside our buildings during the allotted drill time, so please do not be alarmed.

This is a message from the Colville School District. We would like to remind families that the last day of school, Thursday, June 12th will be an early release day. On June 12th, schools will release three and a half hours earlier than normal. If your student rides an afternoon bus, the drop off time for your student will be three and a half hours earlier than normal as well. Mr. Heideman's science classes and Mr. Purvis's Video Production class teamed up to bring an incredible experience to the students at Hofstetter School. The Colville High School students developed a unique science fair that catered to the interests and levels of our K-2 school. The little ones were thrilled to experience all the amazing projects the high school students brought with them, not to mention eating lunch and having recess with the "big kids" as well!
Our CHS Leadership and Key Club students had a wonderful time visiting Panorama on May 1st! They teamed up with the Pre-K and TK classes to create colorful May Day baskets, spreading smiles and a little springtime cheer. It was a sweet way to build connections across ages and schools!
VOLUNTEERS:
We are still looking for community volunteers to participate as role players in our multi-
agency Active Shooter exercise on June 20, 2025. We are looking for volunteers in
three different roles.
1. A “Runner”. Runners will be set to evacuate the building as first responders enter
the building. First Responders will be tasked with gathering little bits of
information as you exit and they enter.
2. An “Injured”. This role player will be placed in the school as an injured person.
First Responders will be tasked with locating/addressing you and your injuries.
3. A “Barricaded”. This role will simulate a locked down classroom. First
Responders will be tasked with locating you and escorting you out of the building.
This exercise will run two scenarios and simulate the events of an active shooter for our
first responders and staff that are dedicating their time and resources to train.
A full lunch will be provided between scenarios.
We hope to fill the school with as many volunteers as possible. Please reach out to Tim

One of Colville School District's goals is to ensure the safety of all students and staff. In the spirit of continued improvement, all the Colville School District entrances are now fitted with cameras and buzz-in systems. Please be patient when entering Colville Schools as we implement the new system following Winter Break. Please remember that there is no school from Monday, December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd. We hope everybody enjoys a restful and safe holiday season. We will see everybody back at school on Monday, January 6, 2025!
Hofstetter School hosted our annual Veterans Day assembly on November 8th this year to honor the family members and friends of our students. More than 30 veterans were able to attend! It was a wonderful opportunity to thank these men and women for their service to our country.

Good Morning, earlier this morning, Tuesday, September 10, we received a notice that there was a Tik Tok threat against the Chewelah School District. The Colville School District is working with local police and our school security officer to ensure our schools are safe and secure. Good afternoon! This is a message from the Colville School District. In the last week we have been informed of several bear sightings throughout Colville. The Department of Wildlife and local law enforcement have been called on each occasion to ensure public safety. If your child walks to and from school, please remind them to be aware and never approach wildlife. If they see a bear they should contact Stevens County Dispatch as soon as possible.
