ADA Doors Being Installed

The Colville School District has installed the first of many ADA handicapped accessible building entrance doors. The first door has been installed at Colville Junior High. This door and all other future doors will allow handicapped accessibility by a push button entry and exit switch. The switches are located in the interior and exterior of the building entrance. With a simple push of the button the door will be automatically open by the mechanical door swing mechanism allowing for hands-free access. These doors are being installed by the Colville School District Maintenance Department. The ADA mechanically operated doors are made possible by an ADA Equal Access grant secured by the Student Services Department.
